My Kitchen in April - Concepts in Drawing

My Kitchen in April is a project directly informed by Sam's environment. With the aid of a Chladni plate, audio of the kitchen in Sam's house during breakfast, lunch, and dinner created patterns in salt which were then captured in three cyanotypes.

This work is meant to honor a well-loved space in Sam's house as he graduates from the University of Iowa and physically memorialize the hectic and noisy experiences associated with undergraduate life.
